From a basic rough sketch through to the finished oil painting on cartridge paper, I absolutely love the looseness of this work.
The King vulture is an incredible bird, large and loose, scarey but comical looking. He was hopping around, happy to be photographed and drawn – an amazing bird.
I definitely see a whole series of zoo paintings happening!
