It’s one thing looking at a painting in isolation – or even on an art gallery wall. It’s quite another visualising how it could enhance the look of your home and provide you and your visitors with a great deal of joy. I painted this fine fellow – in oil on canvas – in response to a commission and here it is, my “Lobster Hanging” painting, displayed on the wall of the client’s gorgeous dining room! When I’m painting as a result of a commission, know I’m not painting just for ‘me’ but also for the client. Having said that, by the time they get to the point where they want to commission me, the client will have an idea of my style and will know that it’s something that they will want to incorporate into the look of their home or office, so it’s ‘win-win’!
