You’d think that because I paint lobsters, focusing on their natural curves and fascinating bodies, I would be put off eating seafood. But my recent visit to the famous Billingsgate Market – the UK’s largest inland fish market – both inspired my artist’s eye and tickled my tastebuds. On my early morning visit I bought a few lobsters to draw – but also some cod for my dinner and a kilo of prawns! I’ve been working on some new commissions – landscape orientation compositions. This means that if you’d like to commission your own lobster oil painting, just tell me what size you would like it to be, let me know what sort of colours you would like me to use and then I will create some composition ideas for you to choose from.
